What Jobello is

Jobello provides a local workforce map for Melbourne. People post short availability or hiring requests. Contact happens by WhatsApp.

What we collect

• Contact details: First name or business name, WhatsApp number
• Listing details: Area, sector, role, note or request
• Location data: We store approximate location (±50m) needed to place your pin on the map. We do not track continuous location or store precise GPS coordinates.
• Technical signals: IP address and light device fingerprint for rate limiting (max 3 posts per hour). Used for anti-spam and abuse prevention only.

Why we collect it

• To publish your listing on the map and let others contact you
• To reduce spam, fake posts, and repeated submissions
• To run basic analytics on usage and performance

How long we keep it

• Worker listings expire after 72 hours
• Business listings expire after 72 hours
• We may keep abuse and security logs longer to protect the service

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share only what you publish on the map: name, area, sector, note, and WhatsApp contact.

Service providers that may process data to run the website:

• Stripe: Payment processing (workers and businesses)
• Mapbox: Interactive map display
• Plausible Analytics: Privacy-friendly usage statistics (no personal tracking)

Payments

When a business buys unlocks, payment is processed by Stripe. Card details never touch Jobello.

Your choices

• You can delete a listing by letting it expire, or by contacting us (we respond within 72 hours)
• You can stop contact by blocking a number in WhatsApp
